The Morcles, Diablerets, Muverans Geopark
The region between the peaks of the Dents de Morcles and the Muverans and Diablerets mountain ranges is listed in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes, Natural Monuments, and Sites (BLN) and represents an area of exceptional richness in terms of its geology, fauna, and flora, as well as the relationship between people and the mountains.
The Morcles Diablerets Muverans Association has set itself the goal of promoting, preserving, and respecting the cultural and natural heritage of this region by supporting projects that maintain a balance between human activities and natural habitats, promote research and scientific knowledge, and highlight the region’s natural, human, and cultural riches.

International Significance
The Morcles Nappe is a sedimentary nappe that is geomorphologically distinct and visible in three dimensions across the Alpine landscape. Together with the Diablerets Nappe, it serves as a prime example of the interplay between rock sequences and tectonics. It also features a rich variety of geomorphological landforms.
