Czech delegation draws inspiration from the Sardona World Heritage Site
Six experts from the Ralsko Geopark in the Czech Republic visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona Tectonic Arena, the Binntal Landscape Park, and the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Natural Park as part of a Swiss-Czech exchange project. The exchange focused on geotourism education, the training of geoguides, and cooperation with tourism, schools, politics, and administration.
Great interest in the GeoGuides
The Czech guests were particularly interested in the GeoGuide model of the Sardona World Heritage Site. For over 20 years, the World Heritage region has been training tourism guides who explain the connections between geodiversity, biodiversity, and cultural diversity in an understandable and engaging way.
